CEO of Little Sun, Felix Hallwachs, has been setting up, developing and overseeing the operations of the Little Sun global project since its inception in 2012.

The Little Sun solar-powered lamp was developed by world-renowned artist Olafur Eliasson and engineer Frederik Ottesen to get clean, reliable, affordable light to the 1.6 billion people living worldwide without electricity. Little Sun currently has distribution in eight African countries as well as in the EU, US, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and Australia.

Felix Hallwachs has worked with artist Olafur Eliasson since 2005 and has been developing works and exhibitions with his studio since 2006 as Studio Director. Felix has worked closely with leading international museums, galleries, collections and public institutions in creating artworks, exhibitions, and installations with interdisciplinary international teams. Felix worked with the main studio team on structure and management as well as the general running of the studio, contracting, legal matters, finance, real estate acquisition and handling, and loan handling (bank negotiations, mainly real estate). Previous work experience in small architectural practices during and after studies. Felix holds an architectural engineering degree from the Technical University Berlin (2004), with additional interests in urban studies, sociology, politics, and economics.
